A Step-By-Step Guide to Setting Up Your T-Mobile Account

You're probably on this page because you purchased a Pinwheel and had us order your SIM card for you. Welcome! 👋🏻

You have 30 days from the time the SIM goes into the phone to set it up on autopay. This friendly page is here to help you get started.

Here's a quick summary of what's happened so far, and a step-by-step tutorial below that:

    What's Happened So Far

    1. What we did for you! We ordered you a SIM and phone number with your area code, and made sure it arrives right quick! We also got your plan details in there and set it up in your name. It's about a 42-step process... done!

    2. It's your turn now. This is our socially-distant handshake to pass the responsibility to you. To be clear, the T-Mobile service is *your* plan, *your* responsibility to pay and maintain.

    3. There's something you must do. The one thing you have to do now to fully take over is set up your account with T-Mobile and turn on autopay. This won't work until AFTER the SIM is activated by sticking it into the phone and placing the first call.

(If the SIM hasn't been entered into the phone, the website will say "Sorry, something you entered does not match our records. Please try again.")

    The Step-By-Step

    1. Start here:

    It looks like this:

    2. Here's your info to do it:

    • First Name: Your first name
    • Last Name: Your last name
    • T-Mobile Phone Number: Find your new T-Mobile number by popping the SIM into the phone and sending a text
    • Email: Your email
    • Password: Something you'll remember

This is the page you should be on (the signup link above):

    3. Continue to follow the prompts to get to the billing portal

Here's what your billing portal will look like:

    4. Set up autopay

After you set up your account, you'll click on the "Add to Balance" button, click "Manage Autopay," and set autopay up with your preferred card. (This is really important!! If you don't, your cell service will quit unexpectedly after 30 days.)

    5. You're done!

After you set up autopay, you're done! 🎉 Your T-Mobile cell plan will be up and running, and will auto-renew each month so that you don't have to think about it again.

P.S. If you're asked for a PIN, it's whatever you set (it's 6 digits) during Pinwheel checkout.
